World Blood Donor Day: donate blood, save life
The medical science has developed much in last few decades and hence found solutions to a lot of health problems that belong to the mankind. The blood donation and transfusion is now very common in the present scenario but there was a time when people were not getting sufficient blood also. At least once in our life we hear a person die because of unavailability of blood. World Blood Donor Day is based on saving once life. Every year we celebrate this day on 14th of June in order to make people aware about the importance of Blood donation and save a person’s life.
People donate blood, share experience
On World Blood Donor Day many Non-Government Organizations, private sectors, community groups organize blood donation camps, they appeal general public to donate blood, because this social cause not only save a person’s life but take the advantage of health benefits too. Although this day is very importance but still there is no holiday marked on World Blood Donor Day. Not only this at many campaign people also share their experience how they were worried about the arrangement of blood for their near and dear once and how a man donated blood and saved life of the person as an angel. They inspire youngsters to donate blood and save a life. Many places nukkad nataks are held; in village they do skits to educate people regarding the importance of blood donation. Activities like meetings, seminars conferences are held.
92 million blood donations worldwide
According to a survey every year at least 92 million people donate blood, despite of this blood donation is highly on demand. Especially in developing countries it is more in demand because their death rate is high in comparison to developed country due to a number of reasons.
